AFter I had done the blog last night we went down to dinner and at the end of the meal Inga, our tour director said that we could start to see Matterhorn - so off I raced to get the camera, wasn't going to let an opportunbity like that disappear. Just as well, I waited and waited, taking various shots - the clouds were teasing until - wvallah!!!!
There she was in all her mysterious glory! Finally off to bed to get ready for what was to come today - but that didn't happen - no train upto the Kleiner Matterhorn - IT WAS SNOWING!. It's been raining and snbowing, with a little hail, all day. Hence the photo I put on last night from our bed room window has to be amended for 12 hours later! There's also a photo of our bedroom - 5th floor and looks straight out onto Matterhorn - how special is that! SInce the day was candcelled, we went down into Zermatt Village this morning, had a cuppa at Macca's, did some shopping, came back had lunch and then went down in the snow again to the Zermatt Museum - also a very special experience. ALl of this means that our trip back down the mountain on the train tomorrow is going to be quite different than the trip coming up. It also means that our trip in yesterday was also special as today would have been just all covered in rain and cloiud. Well, off now for our group photo. Glad to have some others on board the blog - the camera is a Nikon DX3000. Love to all
